Ginny Decker, Senior Vice President of Operations

Ginny Decker is a highly experienced professional in the real estate management industry and currently holds the position of Senior Vice President of Operations at Monument Real Estate Services. With over 20 years of experience in real estate management, she has worked extensively with portfolios throughout the Southeast U.S. In her role at Monument, Ginny is responsible for overseeing property management operations and ensuring the successful execution of each asset's business plan. She has played a crucial role in driving increased profitability for nearly 100 communities under management, showcasing her expertise in optimizing asset performance. Prior to joining Monument, she held notable positions in other prominent real estate management companies, including Equity Residential and Empirian Property Management. Ginny earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida and has also been actively involved in the Apartment Association of Greater Orlando, having served as the Legislative Committee Chair and Director.

Aimee Gonzalez, Corporate Controller

Aimee Gonzalez is the Corporate Controller for Monument Capital Management and Monument Real Estate Services. With over 15 years of diversified experience in public and private accounting, Gonzalez oversees the accounting department. She leads the financial management and reporting functions, including tax reporting. Located in South Florida, Gonzalez earned a Master’s in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Florida International University.

Tina Canero, Director of Human Resources

Tina Canero is the Director of Human Resources at Monument Real Estate Services. She comes with a strong background in multi-state development and affordable multifamily community management. Throughout her career, she has dedicated herself to fostering positive work environments and implementing effective HR strategies that align with organizational goals. Tina has a Master's Degree in Human Resources Management and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. Having spent much of her career in various HR roles, Tina possesses a deep understanding of the intricacies of HR operations. She has successfully handled a wide range of responsibilities, including recruitment and selection, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, training and development, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. |
Barbara Galvao, Regional Manager

As a Regional Manager at Monument Real Estate Services, Barbara Galvao oversees 1500+ units’ daily operations and financial performances in the North Carolina and South Carolina markets. In addition to these duties, Galvao helps hire and train staff, coordinates Dispositions of Assets and Annual Budget implementation, and participates in the financial subcommittee of Monument’s Wellness Committee. With over 20 years of experience, Galvao is skilled in model underwriting, asset acquisitions, due diligence and asset disposition throughout the Southeast region. Residing in South Carolina, she enjoys baking and watching professional football in her free time. |
Susan Truesdale, Regional Manager

With over 35 years of multi-family management experience in Florida and the east coast markets, Susan Truesdale is currently a Regional Manager at Monument Real Estate Services. Truesdale has overseen the operations of multiple communities and assisted with staff training, due diligence and asset takeovers. Susan now oversees communities in Florida and Texas. As an expert in management, Truesdale holds a variety of valued designations, including the National Apartment Association’s Certified Apartment Manager (CAM)® designation, Accredited Residential Manager (ARM)® designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)®, and the Licensed Condo Association Manager (LCAM®) designation. To top it off, Truesdale is a 2017 Hall of Fame recipient with the Florida Apartment Association. |
Steve Burlingame, Regional Manager

As Regional Manager for Monument Real Estate Services, Steve Burlingame oversees operations of 1,300+ market rate units in Illinois and Indiana. With 24 years in real estate, Steve has been responsible for over $1B in managed assets including A+ new construction, B and C class properties alike in both core and value-added capacities. He takes a tactical approach to repositioning assets and creating value. Prior to joining Monument, Steve brokered real estate transactions and developed a listing contract service for a national firm. He holds an Illinois real estate leasing licenses and is currently pursuing coursework for his CPM designation through IREM. Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a dual major in English and Spanish from The University of Michigan. He completed graduate coursework in economics at Michigan and finance at Harvard University. In his spare time, Steve enjoys playing tennis and golf, and attending Blackhawks games. |
